Shorefront Y's Summer Camp Programs

Divisions

Younger Division - entering grades 1 & 2 (click here for trip schedule)

Our youngest campers have a great summer in store at Camp Osher. Campers enjoy mornings on the beach and at the park followed by an afternoon full of specialty activities that rotate every day.


Their summer is filled with:

• Arts and science exploration
• Performance arts: drama, dance and singing
• Sports and martial arts
• Aquatics and outdoor fun at the beach and the park
• Trips around New York City to fun places like Jewish Children's Museum and the
  Liberty Science Center

Middle Division - entering grades 3 & 4 (click here for trip schedule)

A summer with Middle Division is all about self-exploration, new independence and great friends. Campers travel twice a week on trips around the five boroughs and beyond, including an overnight trip to New Jersey Y - a top rated sleep away camp in Milford, PA. At NJY, campers get to choose from over 50 activities during their one night-two day visit. They swim in the lake, sing around the camp fire and much more!


Campers love our:

• Arts and science specialties
• Performance arts: drama, dance and singing
• Sports and yoga
• Aquatics and outdoor fun at the beach and the park
• Twice a week trips around the five boroughs (e.g. baseball games, waterparks, Bear Mountain and more)

 

Overnight Trips!

Middle Division has an in-house overnight at the Y and an exciting two-day overnight in Pennsylvania at the New Jersey Y camp-grounds. Campers explore the great outdoors with nature activities, rappelling, ropes courses, banana boats, and of course, a traditional campfire with s'mores.

Older Division - entering grades 5 & 6 (click here for trip schedule)

Camp for Older Division is all about new experiences, friends and fun adventures. We have a blast all summer on trips exploring New York City and the tri-state area. Campers are given the opportunity to explore New York City and beyond!


Our most popular destinations have included:

• Amusement parks such as Six Flags Great Adventure, Mountain Creek and Hurricane Harbor
• Cultural attractions like the Museum Natural History and the Intrepid Air and Space Museum.


When they are at the Y, older campers:

• Play tons of sports
• Enjoy performance arts, drama, dance and singing
• Swimming at the beach and in the pool


Special

Older campers are known to go on extended two-four day trips. This summer our campers will visit places like Boston MA, Philadelphia PA, Hershey Park as well as the New Jersey Y at Cedar Lake Camp. Trips give campers a recreational, fun way to explore the United States with their friends and favorite counselors.

Havaya Teen Travel Program - entering grades 7 - 9 (click here for trip schedule)

Camp for teens is all about travel, new friends and fun adventures. We have a blast all summer on trips exploring New York City and the tri-state area.


Our most popular destinations have included:

• Amusement parks such as Six Flags Great
  Adventure, Splish Splash and Hurricane Harbor
• Cultural attractions like the Museum Natural History and the Guggenheim Museum.

 

When they are at the Y, teen campers:

• Play tons of sports
• Overnight trips
• Enjoy performance arts: drama, dance and singing
• Swimming at the beach and in the pool

 

Special

Teens campers go on 3 exciting overnight trips throughout the summer; our annual four day trip to the New Jersey Y camp grounds in Milford Pennsylvania, the second and third overnight trips include destinations such as Washington D.C., Hershey Park, Philadelphia Pennsylvania, Bristol Connecticut, etc.

Early Childhood Summer Program (ages 3-5)

From the moment they enter our doors, Early Childhood Summer Program children have an exciting schedule of arts and crafts, music and movement, swimming, athletics, nature and science in store for them!

 

Activities include:

• Creative play and learning
• Daily instructional swim in our indoor pool with aquatics staff
• Playing outdoors on our roof-top playground
• Special Friday programming: preparing for Shabbat through music, story time, song, dance and cooking activities.

Every day, your children are served a nourishing kosher breakfast, hot lunch and two nutritious snacks. Parents may send special snacks if they wish.
