You can update your party affiliation or address by submitting a new voter registration form.
2. How do I change my registration from NJ to NY?
Register in New York using your NY address. That automatically cancels your NJ registration.
3. What if I don’t know if I’m registered?
Submitting a new registration form doesn’t hurt! You can also check your registration status at voterlookup.elections.ny.gov.
4. Will registering to vote make me serve jury duty?
If you have a driver’s license, state ID, or pay taxes, you're already in the jury duty pool. Registering to vote doesn’t make you more likely to be called.
5. Do I have to put the address on my driver's license?
You should register with your current residential address, even if it doesn’t match your license. This will ensure your polling site is close to you!
