Vocal Teacher - Eléonore Biezunski is a vocalist and classically trained klezmer violinist who grew up in France. She has performed in Europe and the United States with her bands, including the Klezmographers with Pete Rushefsky in New York and Shpilkes in Paris. She has also performed with The Blue Dahlia in New York and worked on several theater productions.
Eleonore’s experience as a vocal/theater teacher comes from her previous teaching children at the Paris' Maison de la Culture Yiddish week-long retreat in 2015 and 2016 and at Yiddish New York 2015, and this past summer at "Trip to Yiddishland" with the Workmen's Circle.
Music Assistant - Rita Mitsel, principal oboe of Symphony in C, earned her doctorate at the Juilliard School. Ms. Mitsel has performed as a substitute in the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, the Orchestra of St. Luke's, the American Ballet Theater, the Brooklyn Philharmonic and in The Phantom of the Opera.
As a soloist, she performed with Orion String Quartet, Mannes Orchestra, Jupiter Symphony Chamber Players and on Bargemusic, among others. She has recorded for Naxos with International Contemporary Ensemble and Symphony in C. Rita teaches oboe and chamber music at Queens College (CUNY). She holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degrees from Mannes College of Music
