Programming for elementary age children (Grades K - 7)

After school can be a hectic time — preparing school work, playing sports, and finding extracurricular activities for your little ones. Come and see what the Shorefront Y has to offer you and your children after school. School’s out! Every day our school buses pick up children from local schools and bring them to our doors. The center is buzzing with activity and excitement as kids enjoy a productive afternoon – there is never a dull moment here!

 

  • Supervised school bus transportation from local schools
  • Hot kosher dinner
  • Homework assistance
  • Arts & crafts, science
  • Swimming, sports, & outdoor activities
  • Full day program when school is closed
  • Monday to Friday, pick-up at school dismissal time. Program ends at 6:00 PM
  • Extended hour option Monday to Thursday until 7:00 PM and on Friday until 6:30 PM.

Holiday Camp

When school is closed, we are here to offer your children much of the fun of Summer Camp! This is an option for a full day program from 8 AM – 6 PM which includes dance, science, swimming, and much more! As always, a hot kosher lunch and snack are provided. Holiday camp is a separate registration.


After School at PS 225

The Shorefront Y After School Stars at PS 225 provides a rich array of activities for program participants. Our day begins with a hot supper followed by activities. We provide homework help, literacy infused activities, dance, drama, chorus, nutrition, theater and much more.
 
Our staff reflects the rich diversity of the community and the languages spoken. We work closely with the school to support your child's academic needs.

Special Needs: All Together (Ages 5-13)

Time: 3:30-6:00 PM and free of charge for all eligible families.

 

All Together is an exciting After School Program at the Shorefront Y for high functioning children on the autistic spectrum or children with developmental disabilities.
