Front Desk Receptionist
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as central hub of the Shorefront Y a fast-paced, multi-service community center. This role requires a highly organized, tech-savvy professional who can manage complex systems, multitask efficiently, and deliver exceptional customer service—especially when working with high volumes of clients.
- Serve as the first point of contact, delivering a professional, welcoming, and solution-oriented experience for all clients, visitors, and staff
- Manage high-volume front desk communications, including phone, email, and in-person inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Process program registrations, payments, and documentation using client management and POS systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date digital and physical recordkeeping in compliance with organizational procedures
- Maintain and manage multiple program-specific client tracking spreadsheets (Excel), ensuring data accuracy and accessibility
- Oversee facility and event space scheduling, maintaining real-time updates to prevent conflicts, double bookings, or program overlaps
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with program supervisors, department heads, and staff to support seamless operations and information flow
- Perform and streamline administrative functions including data entry, document management, internal communications, and maintaining up-to-date public/staff information (bulletin boards, directories, notices)
- Serve as the on-site point person during assigned evening and weekend shifts, supporting building operations, client safety, and coordination with security

Assistant Director of Youth Services
Camp Leadership
- Design and implement a comprehensive camp curriculum that aligns with Jewish traditions, values, and culture.
- Ensure the integration of a variety of activities such as music, arts, science, sports and more into the daily camp experience.
- Mentor youth interested in joining camp staff in leadership roles, preparing them for future positions within the camp structure and beyond.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and provide ongoing mentorship to specialists, ensuring they are prepared for their roles.
- Provide support to the Camp Director with day-to-day operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and logistics.
- Act as a liaison between campers, parents, staff, and community partners to address concerns and provide clear communication.
- Assist in marketing and outreach efforts to promote camp enrollment and program success.
- Step into the role of Camp Director when needed during their absence.
Year-Round Youth Program Development & Engagement
- Develop and lead year-round programs that target teen engagement.

- Work with local schools and community organizations to expand outreach and increase teen participation.
- Utilize social media to promote year-round youth programming.
- Design and facilitate leadership development initiatives and workshops that focus on team-building, conflict resolution, public speaking, and mentorship.
- Ensure that programming reflects Jewish values.
- Support after school program as needed.
- Play a key role in planning, promoting and facilitating all Shorefront Y community events.
- Attend and represent the Shorefront Y at relevant community events, conferences, and gatherings.
Qualifications
- Experience in camp leadership, youth programming, or Jewish education. Bachelor's degree in Education, Jewish Studies, Youth Development is a major plus!
- Proven ability to develop and implement engaging programming for children, teens, and staff.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with experience mentoring staff and young leaders.

Lifeguard
Job Description:
The Lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe environment for all participants utilizing the aquatic facility.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations.
- Enforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner.
- Provide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance: wash down deck and pump room, record pool readings, record headcounts etc.
- Be knowledgeable on all aquatic information and programming.
- Display a professional appearance with appropriate dress/uniform, including a Shorefront Y Lifeguard t-shirt, whistle, rescue tube, and fanny pack filled with first aid supplies.
- Must arrive to work 15 minutes prior to the start of shift.
- Ensure the aquatic area is safe, clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned by the Aquatics Director and/or Sports Coordinator.

Swim Instructor
Job Description:
You must be responsible with high energy and enthusiasm. Previous teaching experience is not necessary, however a swimming background and the ability to connect with children is a MUST. If you are someone who is passionate about working with kids, we have a perfect opportunity for you.
We offer consistent, long-term, part-time employment. 10 - 20 hours per week. Hours are: Weekday afternoons 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm, Sundays 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
At least one weekend day is required plus 1-2 afternoon shifts. Once set, your hours are non-flexible.
We use an innovative teaching style called the Swim Right Method. Successful applicants will be required to complete approximately 40 hours of training in this method at our indoor pool. Russian language is a plus.
