Senior Living

View in Russian

Seniors are involved in the active life of the Shorefront Y community. Whether they are participating in excursions, clubs and cultural events, seeking social services or coming to the Shorefront Y for a hearty nutritious meal and exercise class, seniors find themselves very busy here.

Social Services for Seniors

Services for Seniors at Shorefront YWe have developed a full on-site Senior Social Services program to enhance the physical and mental well being of seniors while educating their families about gerontology and aging related issues in the United States.

Seniors are offered mental health assessments and counseling as well as support groups to address depression.

Fact sheets and seminars inform seniors and their families about end of life issues such as acute illness, transition assistance from hospital to home and nursing home information. We inform interested families about Jewish traditions regarding burial and mourning.

For more information, please contact Susanna Levit, Director of Family Services, at 718.646.1444 ext. 402 or levits@shorefronty.org.
