Internship Programs for High School and College Students


Consortia for Learning and Services to Special Populations (CLASSP)

CLASSP is a learning program for teens and undergraduate students interested in receiving hands-on experience working with children with disabilities.

Students receive:

  • College credits
  • Hands-on experience working with children with special needs
  • College level courses
  • Generous stipend - paid bi-monthly throughout internship
  • Professional training

Volunteer at the Shorefront Y Get Involved, Make a Difference and Launch your Career!

Gain experience working with children, teens and adults with Developmental Disabilities. This opportunity provides a hands-on professional experience for those looking to pursue a career in fields of special needs, education, psychology or speech pathology.

Volunteers needed for:

  • Afterschool program serving children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities
  • Sunday Programs for children, teens and adults
  • Special events
